RPGOD
App for playing tabletop RPGs without printed sheets. Digital character sheet, dice, player tools and table control for masters.
— Context
Tabletop RPGs needed less logistics
Playing tabletop RPGs in person involves organizing tokens, dice, character sheets, manuals and lots of physical material. For new players or spontaneous sessions, that logistical barrier is a huge deterrent.
The challenge was to design an app that eliminates the need to have a printed sheet in hand, allowing people to play anywhere with what we always carry: our phone.
— Solution
An app that puts RPG in your pocket
A mobile app was designed with two modes: player and master. The player accesses an editable digital character sheet, integrated dice and useful tools. The master presets each table with rules, NPCs and scenarios they manage.
The digital character sheet completely replaces paper. Modifier calculations are automatic, inventory is managed with taps and dice are rolled with a gesture. Everything you need to play, in one place.
— Features
Tools for player and master

Character sheetDigital and editable
Full character sheet with stats, skills, inventory and notes. Modifiers are calculated automatically. Editable in real time during the game without needing erasers.

Player modeEverything in your pocket
Instant access to sheet, dice and inventory from a single screen. The player needs no physical material: just their phone and the app.

Player toolsInstant access
Panel with quick tools: custom dice rolls, damage calculation, basic rules reference and character status tracking.

Digital diceRolls without friction
Integrated dice system with visual animations. Supports simple rolls, rolls with modifiers and multiple dice. Results are automatically recorded on the sheet.
— Tech stack
App design and experience
The complete app design was done in Figma. Graphic assets, dice iconography and RPG system visual elements were created with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
— HEURISTICS
Best practices applied.
Based on Jakob Nielsen's 10 usability heuristics.
Visibility of system status
The app shows health, stats, inventory and character status at all times. Players know exactly where they stand without checking papers.
Match between the system and the real world
Terminology follows RPG language: strength, dexterity, constitution, wisdom, intelligence, charisma. RPG players immediately recognize each field.
User control and freedom
The player can freely edit their sheet, revert changes and reorder inventory. No forced flows that require following a specific order.
Consistency and standards
All character sheets maintain the same layout and structure. Dice use the same visual pattern on all rolls. Navigation is predictable.
Error prevention
Modifier calculations are automatic. If a player tries to assign more points than allowed, the app warns before confirming. Critical rolls are visually highlighted.
