MYA

Visual and UX redesign of the online store of MYA, a wholesaler of appliances and industrial machinery for businesses. Renovated catalog and optimized product detail page.

— Context

A B2B online store that needed a facelift

MYA is a wholesaler of appliances and industrial machinery for businesses that operated with an ecommerce platform that was visually outdated and had friction in the shopping experience. The product catalog did not highlight key items, navigation was confusing for wholesale buyers, and the product detail page lacked structured information for making B2B purchasing decisions.

The challenge was to redesign the most critical sections of the ecommerce without affecting the existing commercial operation. Priority was given to visual renovation, clarity in product presentation, and optimization of the navigation flow for buyers who value efficiency over aesthetics.

— Solution

A redesign focused on B2B buyer efficiency

The product catalog was redesigned with a clear grid, accessible filters, and product cards that display critical information at a glance: price, availability, category, and brand. The product detail page was structured to present technical datasheets, quality images, and direct commercial contact CTAs.

The entire design was conceived from the wholesale purchasing logic: quick decisions, comparison of technical specifications, and direct contact with the seller for special quotes. The interface prioritizes functionality without sacrificing the professional aesthetic that an industrial business requires.

All visual redesign and UX iteration were done in Figma. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were used for product image processing and visual banners. My role included analysis of the current experience, redesign of critical sections, and documented handoff for the development team.

— HEURISTICS

Best practices applied.

Based on Jakob Nielsen's 10 usability heuristics.

01

Visibility of system status

The catalog always shows active filters and the number of products found. Available stock is clearly indicated on each card. The user knows exactly where they are and what options they have.

02

Match between the system and the real world

Product categories follow industry nomenclature: appliances, industrial machinery, commercial equipment. The language is what a wholesale buyer expects to find.

03

User control and freedom

Applied filters can be removed individually or in bulk. The user can freely navigate between categories without losing search context. The commercial contact button is always accessible.

04

Consistency and standards

All product cards share the same visual structure: image, name, price, and stock. CTAs maintain the same style in catalog and product detail. Navigation is predictable on all screens.

05

Error prevention

Filters with no results display a clear message with alternative suggestions. Commercial contact actions include validation of required fields before sending.
